Description:
The Vietnam War is one of the most controversial and protracted conflicts in the history of the 20th century. Having begun as a civil war in South Vietnam, it escalated into a large-scale confrontation throughout the country with the participation of the armed forces of the United States, the USSR and a number of other states. The tactical game of the world-famous series "Behind Enemy Lines" highlights the terrible events of that war from the point of view of Soviet and American soldiers. The game features two story campaigns, American and North Vietnamese. In North Vietnamese, the player will control a group of four characters: two Russian saboteur instructors - a World War II—trained demolition engineer and a young sniper sent to South Vietnam to train Viet Cong soldiers, and two well—trained fighters of the North Vietnamese army - a driver and an interpreter. As a result of the attack by the Americans and rangers of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam, a small detachment found itself in enemy territory, and now it must at all costs make its way to its own. In the American campaign, the player will control a sabotage and reconnaissance group of five professional American military personnel: a commander, a machine gunner, a sniper, a grenade launcher and a bomber. The detachment will need to perform a number of diverse special tasks: from sabotage and participation in relatively large battles to the rescue of American prisoners of war from a camp near Hanoi by small forces.
