Description:
Loretta is a psychological thriller in which the player´s choice influences the course of events. The story is about an ambiguous heroine involved in the problems of betrayal, marital fidelity, human relations and the difficult social situation of America in the 40s of the last century. Ideologically and aesthetically, the game takes inspiration from American painting of the 20th century, representatives of precision, the works of Andrew Wyeth and Edward Hopper, noir films of the 40s, German expressionism, Alfred Hitchcock thrillers. It is impossible not to mention the films “Reflective Skin”, "Harvest Days", the books "1922” and “Lolita". The plot is 1947. Loretta and Walter Harris are moving to a farm. To his parents´ house. Walter is a writer, Laura is an unemployed housewife. Both are not doing well. The family is experiencing financial difficulties. The situation is complicated by the fact that Walter owes money to certain people. And although the man keeps his wife in the dark, Laura guesses, as she guesses, that Walter is cheating on her. Laura understands: She had given up her dreams, her job, and her opportunities for a loser man she didn´t even love, and now she found herself in an empty and cold house with no means of support. Hardly prolonging the next loan, she learns that the publishing house has insured Walter´s life: in case of death or recognition of him as missing, the payment is 30 thousand dollars. Laura comes up with a plan. Features: The unique atmosphere of utopian America of the 40s. Several plot outcomes. The opportunity to decide the fate of the heroes. Freedom of choice.
