The ranks of the Tyranids in Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector have been replenished with a nightmarish The Lord of the brood and the destroyer is the Defender of the swarm. Brood Lord The brood lord is especially strong in hand-to-hand combat, in which he can destroy the mind of prey next to him. Summoning the Mind power of the Hive, the Brood Lord uses the psychic ability "Paroxysm" to strip the enemy unit of its strength and chop it with Monstrous crushing claws. When the Brood Lord is on the battlefield, all genestealers nearby will be able to descend on enemy defenses using the brood´s Advanced Telepathy. Swarm Defender Swarm Defenders are hefty armored ranged units hitting prey from bio—cannons. The defenders of the swarm can fire from a Piercing Cannon or a Shock Cannon. Telepathic projectiles from the spikes of the splintered beast fly around obstacles, so only the most powerful shelter will save them. Shock guns smash the armor of mechanical enemies, stopping tanks and defeating even the most powerful machines. The expansion will add the Lord of the Brood and the Defender of the Swarm to your armies for battles and multiplayer. Brood Lord and Swarm Defender have been added to the Age of Crimson Dawn single player campaign in a free update. You don´t have to install an add-on to fight them in the campaign.
