Tim Shafer´s first adventure game in sixteen years, Broken Age began two years ago with a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign. Now it´s here - and it´s beautiful, in 2D, in all its hand-painted glory, with a unique orchestral score and an all-star cast.
Broken Age is a timeless coming-of-age tale of sickening trees and talking spoons. Vella Tartine and Shai Volta are two teenagers who find themselves in remarkably similar situations, but radically different worlds. The player will be able to freely switch between two stories, helping them deal with their own destinies and upcoming adventures.
They say that the adventure game genre is dead, but then Broken Age punched a tombstone and grabbed you right by the arm, and at that moment you screamed just like the ending of the movie Carrie, except the words were: “I´m so I love adventure games!” And yes, sorry if we told you the ending of Carrie.
