Until they turned against the kingdom and its inhabitants. The Anuchardian paradise fell from the heavens, crashing against the surface of the nether world. Only a tiny island survived the fall. The rest became a twisting mass of twisting passages, wild magic and vicious monsters, known simply as the Dungeon. Somewhere within it, five treacherous Guardians slept. Generations passed until the few survivors survived in the Orchard, the only village on the island, maintaining what little Anuchardian magic remained. Farmers tend the fields, scavengers try to collect the bones of the kingdom in the Dungeon. Everyone is waiting for the Chosen One, the one who will take the bell of Audros, enter the Underground, awaken the Guardians from their slumber and restore the lost paradise: Return Anuchard to heaven.
