Linear Regression Channel is a three-line technical indicator developed by Gilbert Ruff in 1991 that displays the high, low and middle of the current trend. The width of the formed corridor automatically changes depending on the selected timeframe.
This indicator is usually used to analyze the upper and lower limits of the existing trend and helps to find the optimal entry and exit points in a trade.
The tool is highly effective and can be easily applied in virtually any available market with any asset.
Requires Windows operating system (x64) Vista/Server 2008/7/Server 2012/8/10/Server 2016/Server 2019 and installed QUIK Workstation version 7.x/8.x./9.x/10.x.
Place the file from the archive into the LuaIndicators folder located in the root folder of the QUIK application (if there is no such folder, create it). Run the application and select the "Lua scripts" item from the "Services" menu. In the window that opens, select "xLinReg" and click the "add chart" button. After that, the indicator of the same name can be added to any open price and volume chart by selecting it from the corresponding item of the context menu.
The deviation, period parameters set in the indicator by default, as well as the color and thickness of the lines, if desired, can be easily changed through the "Edit" item of the chart context menu.
