This edition is the first in the history of scientific work on the history of Siberia. Compiled in the XVIII century by the historiographer Academician G. F. Miller (1705 - 1783), who was a member of the Great Northern Expedition of 1733 - 1743. and wrote the five-volume "History of Siberia", consisting of 23 chapters. This work has not yet been fully published. It was partly published in the 18th century as edited by Miller himself, and 2 volumes were published only in 1937 and were no longer reprinted. Volume I includes Miller´s autobiography, the preface and the text of chapters 1 to 5. The Appendix contains the following: 1. Historical acts relating to chapters 1 to 5. 2. Articles about Siberian antiquities: a) about antiquities of the Tatar (Tartar) found in the grave hills near the Abakan and Sayan forts; b) about ancient monuments in the districts of Selenga and Nerchinsk; c) an explanation of some antiquities found in the graves; d) about Siberian handwritten stones. Volume II includes the text of chapters 6–9. The “Supplement” publishes: a) historical acts relating to chapters 6–9.
