Minecraft (from the English mine "mine", "extract" and English craft "craft") is a computer game in the sandbox genre with elements of survival and an open world, developed by Swedish programmer Markus Persson, also known as "Notch" and later produced based Perssson by Mojang.
In terms of style, the game world consists entirely of blocks (landscape, objects, mobs, player), and low-resolution textures (16 × 16 texels) are used for texturing. The game was conceived as a clone of the Infiniminer game, although Persson expressed a desire to liken its gameplay to the Dwarf Fortress game.
Minecraft is available for Windows, Linux, OS X, Xbox 360, Android, iOS, PS3 and Raspberry Pi.
In addition to the single player, the network game is available, the game on the local network. Also there is Minecraft: Pocket Edition for touch devices (phones and tablets).
